This is not a shock to me, people have had enough. Things are getting tougher and if we don't learn from history and what has been before then be sure to expect more. Revolution?

The riots were kicked off by the death of a 15 year old boy, but I truly believe that there is more to the anger than the death.

And then they wonder why robbery is the latest craze,

Did he have a phone?

With anywhere to go?

Stranded,

With no where to call his own,

With their over priced food,

Drowned in obesity,

And because people are put into classes, societies and boxes,

All by our very own making,

The only way some people see themselves playing that game is by going and taking,

A new football season is upon us!

I'm football mad, I love my Chelsea (even though I went through and still am going through 'the tickets are too expensive so the real fans can't go...' phase. I did say I'd follow Millwall but that was too agonising, so I decided to support Fisher Athletic for a season as well as Chelsea, but only because I played for them).

Anyway, Man. Utd drew. No new signings as of yet and the whole Ronaldo saga went on for far too long. Arsenal won, only 1-0 at home. And Liverpool got a good result at Sunderland. One highlight away from Chelsea's emphatic 4-0 defeat over Portsmouth was Gabriel Agbonlahor's seven minute hat-trick after being demoted to the England U-21's with Theo Walcott.

The five English players that I think will be most influential are;

John Terry,

Frank Lampard,

Rio Ferdinand,

Gabriel Agbonlahor,

Micah Richards

I think Ronaldo will have another amazing season, if not as good as the last. If he plays half as well with half the stats from his last season then he'd of had a very good season. Hopefully Nani will breakthrough though for Utd.

Daniel Sturridge, Franco Di Santo and Theo Walcott for me should all really be breaking through and with any luck we'll get to see as much of those players as possible. Theo Walcott especially as Hleb has now left a hole on the right flank. Can Walcott compete with Nasri?

Also, Fulham will be lucky to stay up, so will Hull and Bolton.

What on earth are the European Union doing protecting a man with the Human Rights Act who preaches hate and death? Who voted for him to not be extradited? Why would they vote in his favour? He is calling for their deaths. I know I wouldn't vote to protect him. He is not an asset to Europe, why would we want him on our continent? He actually tells people to kill people. I know freedom of speech is there for everyone but come on, this is too far.

Another reason why England shouldn't be so involved with Europe. We have to abide by their ruls. We are our own country, if we don't want someone in it then why should we have to pay for him out of our taxes?

What is wrong with these people?

Nas - Untitled

I've chosen to write about this because of all the controversy surrounding the new album.

There was a lot of hype surrounding what Nas was to call his latest album. He announced that he intended to call it N*****, but he then changed his mind, fearing it could be banned, releasing a statement saying that he wanted his fans to be able to hear it. There was obviously something he wanted to get across. He could of been sitting at home, flying around the world or chilling out on a big boat somewhere living out his life feeling very pleased with himself and what he has done in his life but he still feels he has things to say.

His lyrical content has not been the subject of controversy this time, but he bares nothing in his approach. He talks about slaves, a black president, claims that fried chicken is the death to black people and compares the world to an insect.

The song that jumps out at you when you look along the line - up is N.I.G.G.E.R., in which he explains what it is like to be a black man growing up in the ghetto. He mentions how the older women talk about their sugar levels, what he had to deal with and more importantly that black people are ignored in life. This relates to the on going debate at the moment about black models not being as well respected in fashion as their fellow white ones. It's not just a build me up to black people, but all people living in a struggle. A wife who is being abused, someone in a football team who won't get a chance to play because the managers son plays in the same position, an underprivileged young man trying to get respect without turning to crime, anyone in a difficult situation.

What Nas doesn't do is talk about how much money he has, how many girls he gets, what he does when he goes to the clubs, how many people have shot at him or what he'll do to anyone who does decide to shoot at him. This is a message, a symbol even to anyone who is underprivileged that they can do anything even with everything going on around them, if you listen to the lyrics then you'll understand.

His song 'Black President', is him screaming out for a black president, Barrack Obama. He mixes over a 2pac song with 2pacs lyrics running in sync with his own. Nas is showing how the world has changed over a decade, as 2pac sings 'we aint ready to have a black president' and then Nas sings 'yes we can, change the world'. With the ending announcing that Barrack Obama is the next president of America.

He does get onto the the Fox News incident. 'Only fox that I loved is the red one/only black man fox loves is in jail or a dead one' Nas recently fronted a rally in which over 620,000 people petitioned that Fox president 'find a solution to address racial stereotyping and hate-mongering before it hit's the airwaves'. He petitioned hours after finding out that his new album, Untitled reached number 1 in the US charts. Also claiming that 'Fox keeps feeding us toxins'

He also points out the fact that whilst everyone claims his music and other hip hop artists provoke violence, he wonders why Kill Bill and Grindhouse doesn't receive that same sort of press?

The only downside is that his song 'Make The World Go Round' is awfully misplaced and doesn't flow with the rest of the album. Not taking away from the fact that it is still a good song.

His self belief that he is the man that revived hip hop is evident on 'Hero'. This is carried on from his last albums. He has put a lesser beat to most of his songs on this album by reducing the sound it makes more of his lyrics, which he clearly wants his fans to hear. This self proclaimed title has been backed by many many fans over the years and this album shows he isn't scared to produce what he feels or what he thinks. And long may it continue.

New York New York.....

After spending two extended weeks in LA, I was there to shoot for Italian Vogue. My friend Tyler, who shot with me went back to NY and kept on telling me to come out and that I could stay with him. Kim, the lady that took me in over in LA, told me to stay in LA for a while and then go to NY. I bowed down to the pressure of them missed my flight home. Ten days later I booked a flight to NY and turnt up at Tylers door. He knew I was coming though.

The next day we went into Red Models, signed up, took a few pictures and headed off up to Broadway.

I'm here for six more weeks. I miss my Mum and my friends, The Bowens in LA and home comforts. I'm coming home for London Fashion Week, and then off to Tokyo with a little luck.
